We’re excited to have our work in one of the hottest new spots and our first project in Miami, USA.
The new Brickell City Centre in Miami has recently opened it’s doors and includes some top end retail and restaurants. Among them the Big Easy, part of the Ernie Else brand.
We’re humbled and excited to have our Ribbed Bar Chairs added to the new restaurant interior. Bringing a full South African flavour to Miami, it’s a must see hotspot and when you’re next there, be sure to stop in an enjoy a glass of wine on one of our bar chairs.
Virserius Studio is headed by two talented creatives Therese and Regina Virserius, who respectively live and work from New York and Paris.
Having won multiple awards including the recent honor of a SILVER AWARD in the Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Category by A’ Design Awards, they are a studio with great depth and talent.
Therese was born and raised in Helsingborg, Sweden, and educated in Sweden, China and the United States. She founded Therese Virserius Studio, an interior architecture and design firm, in 2003, having honed her craft with positions at IKEA in China, and Jeffrey Beers in New York. The firm was rebranded Virserius Studio in 2013 when her sister, Regina, joined as creative director and head of the Paris office. Therese is fluent in several languages including Swedish, English and Mandarin, and currently resides in New York City.
A fine artist by trade, Regina has been featured among national and international art collections. In 2010, she was part of the Biennale in Moscow and was honored as Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Letters, by the cultural minister and in 2014 she showcased her video work from the collection Frac Ile de la Réunion in duo shows in USA. As creative director at Virserius Studio, she brings a developed and unique art perspective to the firm’s global design projects. Regina lives and works in Paris, and is represented by Gallerie Eric Dupont, Arielle d’Hauterives.
A big thanks to the team at Virserius Studio and the Big Easy for including Dark Horse into this project. It’s wonderful to see South African design being used globally and we’re humbled to add Miami to our list.
